The 8mm Luxflor Laminates can be cleaned with slightly damp mopping, vacuuming or sweeping, and is recommended at least once a fortnight to avoid the build up of dirt and grime. Avoid using abrasive cleaning products like paddingless vacuum heads which may scratch away the wear layer. Steam mops are not recommended as the high temperature can cause delamination of the floor’s structure.
Laminate flooring was first introduced by a Swedish company as a method of reusing waste wood for economical and ethical reasons. These planks are first created by deconstructing wood to make it into a pulp, and then fusing them together in order to create a synthetic core. There are three primary layers, which consist of a wear layer, print layer, and HDF core.
